KZE's principals are Ph.D. pharmacologists, each with over 20 years experience in biomedical research and communication. We have proven expertise in Oncology, diseases of the Gastrointestinal and Respiratory tracts, Anti-infectives, CNS disorders, and a broad range of technologies.

We offer our clients a comprehensive perspective on developing communication products for the lifecycle of their products. With cross-functional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, we are adept at working in international matrix-managed environments and in delivering results consistent with aggressive timelines.

Patrice C. Ferriola, Ph.D. is co-founder and Managing Member of KZE PharmAssociates. Dr. Ferriola is a principal consultant, writer and project manager for KZE clients. She has broad therapeutic area expertise and is an active member of the Counsel of Science Editors and American Medical Writer’s Association. Prior to founding KZE PharmAssociates, Dr. Ferriola was Department Head of International Medical Publications for GlaxoSmithKline in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Dr. Ferriola received her B.S. in biology from SUNY at Stony Brook and her Ph.D. in pharmacology from the SUNY at Buffalo. Earlier in her career, Dr. Ferriola received NIH post-doctoral training in oncology, and was a research scientist at the National Institute of Environmental Health Science and the Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology. She is an author on over 20 publications in oncology, gastroenterology, and respiratory peer-reviewed journals, and has written and edited numerous manuscripts, book chapters, and reports.

David A. Bruckenstein, Ph.D. is co-founder and Managing Member of KZE PharmAssociates. Dr. Bruckenstein has broad therapeutic expertise and extensive sales training and business development experience. Prior to founding KZE, Dr. Bruckenstein was Director of Business Development at GlaxoSmithKline in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Dr. Bruckenstein received his B.S. in Biology from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from SUNY at Buffalo. After post-doctoral training in neurobiology, Dr. Bruckenstein was a microscopy sales associate for Nikon, Inc, a research scientist at Glaxo and Glaxo Wellcome, and founder of BioCon consulting.

In addition to being a principal consultant, writer and project manager, Dr. Bruckenstein is responsible for new client development for KZE.
